A FRAMEWORK FOR LIVING WITH INTENTION
Build a life that matters.
You are already becoming someone. The Significance Blueprint helps you use what has been entrusted to you, choose intentionally, develop character, and enrich the lives of others.
Success is not the whole story.
BEYOND ACHIEVEMENT
HOW WE MEASURE SUCCESS
How much did you earn?
How far did you advance?
How many people noticed?
What did you build, win, or achieve?
Accomplishment can be meaningful. But accomplishment alone cannot tell you whether you are living well.
THE DEEPER QUESTIONS
What has been placed in your care?
What will you do with it?
Who are your choices forming?
How does who you become affect others?
What kind of life are you building? How
BEYOND ACHIEVEMENT. TOWARD SIGNIFICANCE.
You can reach a destination and discover that you do not like the person who arrived there.
Your worth is the foundation.
INHERENT WORTH
Your worth does not wait for you at the end of this process.
You do not become worthy by accomplishing more, earning more, helping more, or receiving greater recognition.
You possess inherent worth because you are human.
“Your worth does not need to grow. Your capacity can.”
The Blueprint does not help you earn your worth. It helps you decide what you will do because your life already matters.
Inherent Worth is not one step in the Blueprint. It is the foundation beneath every step.
THE FRAMEWORK
The Blueprint
The significance Blueprint is the process by which ordinary people transform the opportunities, responsibilities, capacities, relationships, and trials entrusted to them into lives that consistently enrich others through the choices they make and the people they become.
It is built around four connected principles.
These principles are not boxes to check once. They form an ongoing pattern that plays out across every part of life.
—WHAT IS ALREADY IN YOUR HANDS?—
What has been placed in your care?
01 - ENTRUSTED
You did not choose every part of your life. But much has been entrusted to you.
Your time
Your abilities
Your relationships
Your opportunities
Your influence
Your responsibilities
Your experiences, including the difficult ones.
To say that something has been entrusted to you does not mean you caused it or deserved it. It means that it is now part of the life from which you must choose.
REFLECTION QUESTION
What has been placed in my care at this point in my life?
02 - CHOOSE
What will you do with what you have been given?
You cannot control everything that happens to you. But within your circumstances, you still have choices.
Some choices are large and visible. Most are not.
Tell the truth
Accept responsibility
Listen before responding
Keep a commitment
Apologize
Establish a needed boundary
Begin again after failure
A meaningful life is rarely built through one dramatic decision. It is usually built through thousands of ordinary choices made with increasing intention.
REFLECTION QUESTION
What choice is mine to make now?
YOU MAY NOT CHOOSE THE CIRCUMSTANCE.
YOU CAN CHOOSE YOUR RESPONSE.
YOUR CHOICES DO MORE THAN PRODUCE OUTCOMES. THEY SHAPE YOU.
Who are your choices forming?
03 - BECOME
Your choices produce more than outcomes. They also shape you.
Every repeated choice strengthens something within you. Honesty develops integrity. Ownership develops responsibility. Teachability develops humility. Courageous care develops love.
“Who will I become if I continue choosing this way?”
Becoming is not about constructing a flawless version of yourself. It is about developing the character to use what has been entrusted to you wisely.
INTEGRITY
Aligning what you do with what you know is right.
HUMILITY
Seeing yourself honestly and remaining willing to learn.
RESPONSIBILITY
Owning your choices, responses, and obligations.
LOVE
Seeking the genuine good of another person, with compassion and courage.
REFLECTION QUESTION
What quality is this season of my life asking me to develop?
How does who you become affect others?
04 - ENRICH
A significant life does not end with self-improvement.
Who you become changes what you bring into your relationships, work, family, community, and moments of service.
INTEGRITY CREATES TRUST
HUMILITY MAKES LEARNING AND REPAIR POSSIBLE
RESPONSIBILITY BECOMES DEPENDABILITY
To enrich another life does not mean solving every problem, meeting every need, or exhausting yourself in service.
LOVE HELPS OTHERS FEEL SEEN AND ACTS FOR THEIR GENUINE GOOD
DISCERNMENT | BOUNDARIES | SUSTAINABLE SERVICE
REFLECTION QUESTION
Whose life is affected by the person I am becoming?
SIGNIFICANCE OFTEN MOVES QUIETLY FROM ONE LIFE INTO ANOTHER
________
THE OUTCOME
Significance
What kind of life are you building?
Significance is not fame, status, admiration, or scale.
Significance is the good that enters the lives of others because of what you do with what has been entrusted to you and who you become in the process.
A significant life may look remarkably ordinary from the outside.
CHANGING A FAMILY’S INHERITANCE
CHOOSING INTEGRITY
REMAINING PRESENT
ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY AND REPAIRING HARM
HELPING SOMEONE SEE POSSIBILITY
Significance is found in the lives that are better because you were there.
ONE FRAMEWORK. MANY SETTINGS.
One Blueprint. Every part of life.
The Blueprint can help you examine the way you are living in every important area.
Life
Clarify what matters, recognize what has been entrusted to you, and make choices that align with the person you want to become.
Relationships
Strengthen the character, courage, boundaries, and care you bring to the people closest to you.
Work & Leadership
Use responsibility and influence in ways that build trust, develop people, and create value beyond personal advancement.
THE CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGE. THE QUESTIONS REMAIN.
ENTRUSTED
What has been entrusted to me?
CHOOSE
What choice is mine to make?
BECOME
Who am I becoming?
ENRICH
How will that person enrich others?
THE NEXT RESPONSIBLE CHOICE
BEGIN WHERE YOU ARE
You do not have to change everything today.
Significance is not built in a single heroic moment.
It is built when you recognize what is in your care, make the next responsible choice, and allow that choice to shape the person you are becoming.
Then you do it again.
The Blueprint gives you a way to see where you are, recognize where growth is needed, and take your next step with intention.
Your life already matters.
The question is what you will do with it.
Start with a cleaner view of where you are.
